Jeff Whitthorne - Percussion
I have been involved in playing music for 25 years.  I remember sitting in my livingroom with my mother in April of 1974 watching the Mike Douglas show when I was 13 years old.  Out walked Gene, Paul, Peter and Ace from the rock group "Kiss", the "Fab Four" of my generation.  I looked at my mom and told her that is what I want to be.  She was obviously tickled.  Another event happened in my life in April 1995.  That is when I gave my life to Christ.  Life changed and so did music.  I began listening to a guy named Carman that my daughter Samantha introduced me to and that did it.  I was hooked on Contemporary Christian music.

My wife, Julie, and I are big "Third Day" and "Carmen" fans.  My 7 year old daughter, Christina, sings with Psalm 98:4 occasionally.  I attend Smithland First Baptist Church and pastor Jerry Brewer has always believed in Psalm 98:4 from the beginning.  I also want to pay special thanks to my good friend Susan Ramage with whom I played on the Waldo Baptist praise band.  She taught me so much about the timing and accent of Christian music and hymns.  You and your piano are always with me, Susan.  Most of all, THANK YOU  JESUS, for the blessings and talents you have given me and all of the times you have rescued and comforted me in my times of need.

And thank you, Tim, Kenny, Terry and Dan, my new "Fab Four", for all you do for me.  Also, Mike, we couldn't do it without you.  I love you all and it is a joy to be with you each and every day.
